Dear Families,

We would like to welcome you and your students to the 26-27 school year.  At Piqua Central, we use our core values to create a safe learning environment that will empower students to reach their full potential.  We are dedicated to guiding them towards successful habits and a bright future.  To do this, place a major emphasis on building relationships with your student and you.  If you have questions or need anything, please don’t hesitate to call our office at 937-773-2017. We’re here to help!  See below for a couple of important points for August.

  1. The first day of school is September 8th.

  2. Your student’s teacher assignment(s) will be sent via parent square on Friday, August 21st at 4:00 pm.

  3. To ensure your student is on a class list, please go to: https://piqua-oh.finalforms.com to fill out forms.  These forms have to be updated every year.

  4. Indian Days Open House will be on September 1st, 2nd, or 3rd from 4-6:00 PM according to your students homeroom teacher.  If you have any questions, please call the school office.

  5. School supplies for the upcoming school year include a bookbag, headphones, and pencils.

  6. You can find updated information for all school at www.piqua.org

Family Connection

  1. SOCIAL SKILLS - Monitor social media and video game interactions.  Encourage your student to use appropriate language. Kids should always report to an adult if social media and video game interactions are inappropriate.

  2. READING -  Our hope is that we inspire students to become good readers and even develop a love for reading.  (Research says just reading, or getting read to, 20 minutes a day helps academic success, language development, and overall well being.)

  3. MATH - Build a strong math foundation for your child by practicing essential skills like counting money and math facts.  This will prepare them for success in their Math classes this year.

  4. Piqua Youth Summer Lunch Program (July through August 28th). Free for all kids 0-18 and Pregnant Women.  Piqua City Schools’ Bookmobile will arrive 10 minutes before to hand out free books.
